Cookie Policy

How Lamson Institute handles optional Analytics and Advertising tracking on this website.

Regional tracking choices

In the EEA, United Kingdom, and strict fallback locations, Analytics and Advertising stay off unless you allow them. In the United States, they may begin only after Lamson verifies the regional policy, and you can opt out immediately. Global Privacy Control keeps Advertising off whenever the signal is detected, in every regional mode, even if a previous preference allowed it; Analytics remains a separate choice. Lamson's first-party analytics collector applies a stricter safeguard and sends no event while Global Privacy Control is active. An unrecognized or unavailable location policy always falls back to opt-in. Browsing, scrolling, navigating, or submitting a form never creates an explicit tracking choice.

Technology we use

CategoryPurpose and providersChoice
Website servicesLamson stores one versioned, host-only preference cookie so the website remembers your choice. Lamson also uses necessary services for forms, authentication, and security, including Supabase and Cloudflare Turnstile where those features are present. Not a tracking choice
AnalyticsControls Lamson first-party behavioral analytics, analytics identifiers and attribution, analytics-purpose dataLayer activity, and analytics tags delivered through Google Tag Manager. When permitted, pre-submission signals may also be summarized into internal engagement features used only to prioritize follow-up after a person requests information. Those features exclude contact identifiers and raw advertising click IDs and are never used to decide admission, financial aid, eligibility, or pricing, or to make an automated denial.Regional choice
AdvertisingControls approved Google Ads and Meta Pixel tags delivered through Google Tag Manager. When this choice is allowed and Global Privacy Control is not active, Meta automatic website matching may use hashed email address, phone number, first and last name, gender, city, state, and ZIP or postal code that a person has already provided to Lamson to match an advertising event to a Meta account. For a server-confirmed qualified-lead or enrollment outcome, Advertising also controls eligible Meta Conversions API delivery. That separate server delivery is minimized to the outcome event, value and currency, a keyed one-way external identifier, SHA-256-hashed email and phone when available, and previously authorized Meta click or browser identifiers. It excludes names, date of birth, postal code, form contents, IP address, user agent, and complete page URLs. The same Advertising choice controls TikTok Pixel and Events API delivery when enabled. TikTok can receive a confirmed inquiry or eligible server outcome, its event ID, time, value and currency, hashed email and phone, and authorized TikTok click or cookie identifiers. Browser delivery includes browser and device information; server delivery may include the browser user agent and a page URL without query parameters. Server delivery excludes names, addresses, form contents and IP addresses. Reddit advertising delivery is not enabled. This choice does not control social links or visible social-media content.Regional choice; GPC blocks Advertising

Preference storage

The preference cookie contains the site and policy versions, your explicit Analytics and Advertising choices, decision dates, and whether you saved it from the banner or settings panel. It does not contain your name, contact details, visitor or session identifiers, web address, referrer, campaign information, or form entries. It is limited to the Lamson website where you made the choice and uses Secure on HTTPS, SameSite=Lax, and Path=/ with no Domain attribute. Lamson does not store your country or regional mode in the cookie.

Lamson currently retains the preference for up to 180 days. An expired, invalid, or out-of-date preference fails safely and does not become a U.S. policy-default allowance.

Tracking-only scope

These choices control tracking only. They do not control website typography, campus directions, social-media links, visible video content, forms, Turnstile, phone, email, or FAFSA links, authentication, navigation, lead delivery, or page content. Website typography is delivered from Lamson's own site, and the external map provider is contacted only after you choose an Open directions link. There are no Functional, Personalization, Maps, Chat, Fonts, or Video choices in this system. Using any of those features, including submitting a form, does not grant Analytics or Advertising permission.

Change or withdraw your choice

Open Cookie settings at any time to change Analytics or Advertising. Withdrawing a category stops future tracking in that category from the website. Withdrawing Analytics also clears Lamson's current browser analytics identifiers and excludes Analytics-derived engagement features from future model-training exports. Withdrawing Advertising clears Lamson's current advertising matching state and prevents future Meta Conversions API or other server advertising-conversion delivery under that withdrawn authorization. Withdrawal does not erase information you intentionally submitted through a form, retract provider events already delivered, or delete records collected before you withdrew.
